What to expect.....
My newborn photoshoots are a great way capture memories of baby in those first few weeks after birth and are best done when baby is between 8 and 28 days if possible. The shoot lasts between 2.5 to 3.5 hours and is nice and relaxed to allow lots of time to feed and settle baby as and when needed throughout the session. I have a choice of colours and props to choose from and we discuss colour preferences before your shoot so it can be styled suit your home, providing you with beautiful photos to treasure. My studio is based in Newport, South Wales and is easily accessible from Chepstow and Cardiff areas too.
When to book...
Most people book their newborn photographer a good few months in advance, many after their 12 or 20 weeks scan.
As it's impossible to know when baby will make their arrival we make a note of your booking under baby's due date and then confirm an actual date for your session once baby has arrived, this date will be when baby is between 8 and 28 days. This is standard practice with newborn photography as baby could arrive early or late its impossible to book a date before hand.
I take a limited amount of bookings for newborn photoshoots each month to ensure I have availability for bookings made once baby arrives.
My newborn sessions are typically fully booked a few months in advance so I strongly recommend booking early, ideally a few months before baby is due.
Newborn sessions take place in the studio from Monday to Friday and usually start at 10am.

Prices
My newborn photography shoots are £65.
This includes:
A pre-shoot consultation via email, telephone or zoom
A photo shoot lasting up to 4 hours (usually around 2.5 hours)
Use of props and styling and post shoot editing.
An 'in person' viewing appointment in the studio
Approximately 14 days after your photo shoot you'll be invited back to the studio in Newport to view a gallery of approximately 25 images, you'll then purchase one of the 3 packages below depending on how many images you'd like from the gallery.
Please note: there is a minimum spend of £199 at your viewing session, the cost of the Bronze package.

Package Payment Options
It's good to know your payment options ahead of booking your newborn photographer.
Once you've viewed your images at your viewing session you'll choose a package and make your payment. You can make your payment by cash, credit or debit card, bank transfer or using PayPal.
Interest Free Payments
Want to spread the cost of your chosen package?
At your viewing session you can pay in 3 interest free monthly instalments using PayPal Pay in 3.
PayPal also offers 4 months interest free credit as an additional option to spread the costs even further, this option doesn't have a set payment schedule making it even more flexible. You can take a long as you like to pay the amount off with the first 4 months being interest free.
Payments in advance
As most clients like to have all the digital images from their session they tend to opt for either Gold or Platinum packages.
Many parents contact me after booking and asked if they could begin making payments towards a package before baby has arrived to spread the costs before their viewing session.
I now offer this option to all customers, so if you'd like to make payments in advance you can pay as little or as much as you like ahead of your photoshoot.
For example if you'd like to make an advance payment of £300 before your session you can do this by paying £50 a week for 6 weeks, or £100 a month for 3 months or 2 payments of £150 before baby arrives. It's just another way of saving up for your session in advance without needing to apply for, or use credit.

Frequently asked questions...
Where exactly is your studio?
My photography studio is very close to the centre on Newport, on Corporation Road. It is just 5 minutes from Junction 26 of the M4 so easily accessible from Chepstow, Monnmouth and Cardff. I regularly have clients travel to me from all over South Wales and Bristol.
Who can be in the photos?
I usually encourage parents to be in a few of the photos along with baby. If baby has any older siblings they are definitely welcome too. It's up to you on the day, there is never any pressure on parents to be in the photos if you just want photos of baby on their own.
Can I choose the colours for my baby's photoshoot ?
Of course, once baby has arrived and you're home and settled we schedule in a quick consultation either by phone, email or zoom to go over what happens at the shoot and which colours you'd like to be incorporated.
Will I receive any information about what happens at the photoshoot?
Yes, as soon as you're booking is confimed I email you my full newborn photoshoot guide with all the info on where to find me, how to prepare for your session, products aviable and what happens after your shoot.
