Recently I was asked for a birthday shoot with a little difference, not a cake smash......a watermelon smash!! The shoot was an absolute hit so I thought I'd take a bit of time to share it with you in this weeks blog.
Now to start with I'd like to say I LOVE cake smash shoots.....particularity when they end with a splash in the tub. These shoots are usually lots of fun with lovely smiles, messy faces and water splashes too. I was however really excited to do something a little different. It states on my cake smash page that I can offer alternatives to tradition cake smash session but until now nobody had taken me up on the offer so you can imagine my excitement when I received an email from Marnie's mummy requesting to book a watermelon smash!
The set up was pretty similar to a cake smash one, I handmade some beautiful water melon bunting and bought a fab little romper to match, added the watermelons and hey presto....we were ready to shoot!

As you can see, little Marnie loved her cake smash alternative and Marnie's mum loved her photos! The images looked amazing in a beautiful multi aperture frame too....
