The best Bonfire Night displays in South Wales

After the popularity of my blog about Halloween activities over half term I thought I'd share a quick bit of info on the best Bonfire Night fireworks displays in South Wales later this week. There are too many displays to list them all, this is just a few of the main ones where fun and excitement is guaranteed.


Caerphilly Castle

What better way to celebrate Fireworks Night than visiting the largest castle and the largest free fireworks display in Wales at Caerphilly Castle?

Year after year this spectacular events delights the crowds as people are able to view these amazing displays with enchanting backdrop of this 750 year old castle.

This wonderful annual event is free and put on by Caerphilly Town Council. Please give generously to the charity representatives collecting around the town center.

When: on Saturday 2nd November

Time: Gates open 6pm, Firewords start at 7pm

Tredegar Park Gold Club

Tredegar Park Golf Club's ever popular Fireworks Display takes place again this year in association with Pendragon Fireworks & Pyrotechnics! It's sure to be an impressive display for all the family to enjoy with hot food and bar available on the night too. Early booking is strongly recommended as this event has sold out the past four years! Tickets are available over the phone on 01633 894433 (Option 4) or can be purchased over the bar at the club.

When: Monday 4th November

Time: Gates open at 6pm, fireworks start at 7pm

Price: £18 per car by ticket only


Ponthir District Sports Club

I attended this display myself last year and must say the fireworks display was absolutely fantastic! Great fun for all the family with food an drink available on the night too, I highly recommend attending if you live locally.

When: Tuesday 5th November

Time: Bonfire 6:30pm, fireworks 7:30pm

Cwmbran Stadium Fireworks Display

Torfaen Leisure Trust are pleased to announce that due to popular demand, Fireworks are returning to Cwmbran Stadium!

When: Saturday 2nd November

Time: Gates open 5:30pm, fireworks at 7pm Ti

Price: Family ticket £12, adulkts £4, children £3

Caldicot Castle and Country Park

Join the locals for a spectacular fireworks event at Caldicot Castle for 2019!

With the incredible castle walls as the backdrop, the display is no ordinary show with an astonishing amount of fireworks, music and incredible lights that will paint the night sky with colour. The firework display lasts for over 20 minutes and is guaranteed to please!

There will be live music and entertainment from Capital FM, children's funfair rides, and a licensed bar. With lots of tasty winter treats to enjoy, wrap up warm and join us for another great family night.

When: Sunday 3rd November

Time: Gates open 4:30pm, fireworks at 7:00pm

Price: Adults £7.50, under 18 £4.50, under 3 free ( still need tickets)

Tiny Rebel Brewery Bar

Tiny Rebel Brewery are putting on a free fireworks display this year!! They are serving Sunday roasts up until 4pm before switching over to a special menu with burgers and hot dogs until late.

When: Sunday 3rd November

Time: 6pm
